For Softphone Installation

We, at radius communications, are always ready to make our services easier and trouble-free for our clients. The procedure of using the SIP Softphone starts from its installation. You can install the SIP Softphone through following simple steps. But before starting its installation, it's very important for a user to fulfill the basic installation requirement of the SIP Softphone.

  Installation Requirements of SIP Softphone

 

    Operating Systems Supported

  • WINDOWS XP, NT, 2000, and WINDOWS 2003 operating systems.
    Linux, Unix and Macintosh OS are not currently supported.

    Hardware Requirement

  • Full duplex sound card with microphone and speakers
  • Network Connection

    Minimum 32kbps bandwidth is required to make call

 

          

Installing SIP SoftPhone

  • To install SIP Softphone, Download and run the installation file.
  • Follow the instructions as per screen shows.
  • To uninstall Adore Softphone, go to Control Panel->Add Remove Programs-> Adore Softphone->Install/ Uninstall.
  • To start Adore Softphone, go to Softphone Program group on Desktop
    (where you have created its short cut), else you may also go to Start->Program->Softphone. Just click it and open

 

Softphone /Dialer Configuration

  1. Download the dialer [click here]
  2. Enter Domain Address:sip.radiuscall.com
  3. Enter the provided username. (Optional)
  4. Enter the userid provided in account number
  5. Enter password provided in the PIN
  6. Click Login
  7. Your softphone must be in “registered and ready” status before you can make a successful call.

 

For Device:
The device available in the market may vary in various ways so will be their configuration. Plug the device into your home Router or Gateway and connect the two standard telephones. Then follow the general steps below:

  • STEP 1
    you must first determine what IP address it received. Different devices may have different
    procedure for that.


  • STEP 2
    You need to modify few parameters

    Proxy : sip.radiuscall.com
    Display name : your display name as you would like to (Optional)
    User ID : enter the username provided
    Password : enter the password provided

  • STEP 3
    To save bandwidth, you can change "Preferred Codec" to G723.1.
    Also change the "Use Pref Codec Only" to No.


  • STEP 4
    Make Calls!!

 

Instruction for Linksys user

  1. Browse your linksys device
  2. Admin login.
  3. Switch to advance new.
  4. Regional.
  5. Control Timer Value.
  6. Hook flash timer min:0 (Put value 0).
  7. Hook flash timer max:0 (Put value 0).
  8. Save the setting.

    Note: Please press *11 from softphone/IP phone/ device connected phone to listen to your remaining balance.

To Avoid Hung Call on linksys pap2, Use following instruction

Instruction
1.Browse your linksys device
2.Admin Login
3.switch to advanced view
4.Regional
5.control Timer Value
6.Hook flash timer min: 0 (Put value 0)
7.Hook flash timer max: 0 (Put value 0)
8.Save the settings.
9.After then click on SIP
(You will be followed by lots of option)
10.Go to NAT support parameters

Handle VIA received: YES                Handle VIA rport:YES
Insert VIA received: Yes                Insert VIA rport:YES


11.Save the settings
12.Click on Phone line 1(As per your need Line 1/ Line 2)
13.Go to Nat Settings

NAT Mapping Enable:YES        NAT Keep Alive Enable:YES

14.Save the settings
